Non-profit Mission Statement:
**Why Our Animal Rescue Exists:**
Our mission is to rescue dogs from the streets, those who have been abandoned, and those at risk in animal shelters. We are not a facility for surrendering animals; instead, we provide shelter for rescue dogs until they are adopted into the right, responsible, and loving homes. Our highest priority is to save the dogs that are at risk of being euthanized at shelters and dogs on the street who are in the elements without sufficient care.
We provide charitable therapeutic services that provide comfort, joy, and support in places like hospitals, schools, and nursing homes by offering unconditional love, reducing stress, and encouraging interaction, helping with anxiety, depression, and even physical/speech rehab with interactions with our trained rescue dogs. The goal of our therapeutic services is to boost confidence and social skills in schools, to help children with learning disabilities feel more confident reading aloud, or to encourage social interaction for neurodivergent students. Offer companionship to assist in combating loneliness in nursing homes and hospices, bringing smiles and encouraging connection. As well as to support mental health because a rescue dog’s presence can help manage symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
We allow people of all ages to spend time with our rescue dogs since some people seek companionship but do not have the funds, time, or means to own a dog. We allow observed visitations that include playing, hiking, walking, running, and a variety of other activities that allow our rescue dogs and people to interact with one another.
We also advocate for animal rights to improve the treatment of our furry friends.
**Which Animals or Breeds We Serve:**
Our rescue focuses on dogs of all breeds. We aim to provide resources for other animals who need rescue.
**How We Serve Animals and the Community:**
We provide homes and opportunities for homeless dogs. Many dogs are abandoned or dumped in areas with complete disregard for their lives or the community. Our non-profit serves not only the animals by offering them a caring and loving environment until they find proper homes, but also helps communities by cleaning the streets of stray or dumped dogs.
We serve the community by offering therapeutic services, educational opportunities, experience, and companionship.
We offer resources for dog care to the community, the state, and the nation, which include educational programs on health, proper care, longevity, training, pet transportation, affordable healthcare, and more.
Furthermore, we advocate for laws to protect animals. As humans, we are the caretakers of the world and are accountable for serving those who depend on us while shaping our surroundings. We also support the prosecution of those who abuse animals.
**Which Communities We Support and Serve:**
Our dog rescue serves the state of Georgia, but we are also dedicated to helping dogs in need throughout the country and around the world.
